Aims of the course:

Delegates will be able to follow a programme of sessions linked to the Global Learning Programme (GLP) that will raise awareness of issues such as trade, development, identity, migration and diversity.

Expected outcomes of the course:

The global learning pathway will extend delegates’ subject knowledge and promote their thinking about developing pupils' understanding of global issues, particularly through enquiry and critical thinking. It will also provide information and support for teachers about different ways to engage with the GLP.

Embedding global learning in your teaching:

This CPD pathway will help deepen teachers’ own knowledge and make sense of linking different aspects of global learning, for example through curriculum making and progression, and strengthen aspects of their classroom practice.

The GA Annual Conference global learning pathway takes place on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 April. You can attend one or both days. Each year the GA Annual Conference attracts more than 750 delegates from all phases of geography education. At the 2014 Conference in Guildford more than 30 countries were represented at our international Conference.
