To provide strategies for teachers to stimulate critical and creative thinking about global issues in different subject areas and across the curriculum To support teachers in embedding Global Learning in their teaching To give opportunities for teachers to share and develop ideas for further developing pupils' knowledge , skills and values, in order for them to make progress in their understanding of a complex, dynamically changing and globally interdependent world.
Participants will: * have tried out creative strategies for stimulating critical thinking about global issues * have explored different ideas for embedding global learning in the curriculum - both for specific subjects and for cross-curricular approaches to learning * have considered effective teaching and learning approaches which support Ofsted requirements * have considered their current provision in global learning and have been supported to develop it further
These workshops and the training offered will enable teachers to better identify opportunities for developing and embedding global learning in their teaching; be more aware of a range of creative approaches; be more effective in developing global learning in the curriculum through a variety of approaches and ideas; and better able to track progress and assess the impact of Global Learning
