With the extension of the Global Learning Progamme (GLP) into 2018, the deadline for schools in England to get funding for CPD* through the GLP was extended. But you only have one term left to claim it! All state-funded schools in England that teach Key Stages 2 and 3 have until 29 March 2018 to get access to up to £500-worth of GLP e-credit funding* to use on a wide range of CPD opportunities.
If you've already used your GLP e-credits* you may be eligible to bid for additional funding. Find out how to bid for more funding.
How to get GLP funding for CPD
Join the thousands of schools already registered and sign up for the GLP today! Registration is free and takes just a few minutes. You can then access your GLP e-credits* to redeem against GLP-approved CPD by completing an online questionnaire that tells us about any global learning work already going on in your school (no prior experience is required). This will automatically trigger the release of your funding.
Don't miss out!
The deadline to book onto GLP-funded CPD* is 29 March 2018, and courses must be attended by 1 June 2018.
GLP funding gives you and your colleagues access to a wide range of CPD. Some of the most popular courses attended so far with GLP funding include Philosophy 4 Children (P4C) and the Global Teacher Award, as well as courses on ‘British values’ and human rights. Courses focused on the curriculum are also available, as well as those that cover specific topics such as sustainability. See our CPD Calendar for the full range of options on both fixed and flexible dates (including in-school and online CPD).
In addition to funding for CPD, the GLP provides a wealth of support, including a personalised action plan, an abundance of free resources, the opportunity to access free online training, curriculum and subject guidance, as well as support as part of a national network.
The GLP has been helping schools since 2013 to teach more confidently about our complex, globally interdependent world, and help improve pupils’ engagement, knowledge, skills and values by incorporating a global element into their teaching.
