Free classroom activities to help pupils engage with Refugee Week

Monday 18 June is World Refugee Day, the start of Refugee Week 2018. To mark its 20th anniversary, Refugee Week is inviting people to take part in one or more of ‘20 Simple Acts’ to help change the way we see refugees and ourselves.

The Global Learning Programme (GLP) has developed free resources aimed at Key Stages 2 and 3. These materials can be used in your geographycitizenship or maths lessons, to help your school celebrate the contribution that refugees make to our country, and encourage pupils to explore the complex issues around migration and interdependence more generally.

How to access these free resources and more

Log in to your school's GLP account to access these and many other free teaching resources. If your school isn't one of the thousands of schools in England already registered for the GLP and benefiting from the free curriculum guidance and resources available, simply register your school todayRegistration is free and takes just a few minutes.

The GLP is helping teachers to deliver effective teaching and learning about development and global issues at Key Stages 2 and 3. Find out why so many schools value global learning as part of their teaching.
