Food and Water

Food and water are fundamentals for human life and are therefore a key part of development. There are lots of fun waysOur food comes from all over the world to approach this topic with pupils: where does their food come from, can they identify foods from certain places by smell or taste? Fair trade has long been a popular topic and one for which there are lots of food-related teaching resources.

This topic can be accessed in a number of ways: through personal health and well-being, food technology, science, geography but also via creative subjects such as art and music, and what about maths? There are a lot of numeracy activities included amongst the resources recommended below.
