Global Learning Programme

Expert Centre support

Expert Centres receive the support of a GLP Local Advisor who provides guidance on the planning, delivery and evaluation of the programme – both through meetings and remotely.

Following completion of the Expert Centre verification process, training was provided to help Expert Centres establish and lead a GLP Partner School network, and help the Expert Centre GLP Co-ordinator deliver their role effectively. The Co-ordinator is also given the opportunity during the course of their involvement with the GLP to gain GLP Lead Practitioner Accreditation.

Expert Centres have been granted funding to build a network of Partner Schools and deliver their programme of network CPD sessions. The funding amount received was dependent on the number of Partner Schools an Expert Centre was supporting.

A personal login to the ’My GLP’ area of the website is supplied – providing access to the Expert Centre Handbook, FAQs, Toolkits to facilitate delivery of the Network CPD sessions, plus materials to help build a Partner School network.

Expert Centres can also access the programme materials and resources on the GLP website, including:

The GLP is funded by the UK government and the actual amount awarded to each school is dependent on the number of schools in their GLP network. All schools can join the programme, but funding is only available to Key Stages 2 and 3 in state schools in England.
