NEW – Resource to commemorate the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage (6 February)

2018 is the centenary of the 1918 Representation of the People Act, the law that gave most women the right to vote in the UK. Commemorate the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage (6 February) with this free resource.

Aimed at Key Stages 2, 3 and above, this free resource supports the teaching of literacy, mathematicshistorygeography, citizenship and PSHE. It comprises links to a range of cross-curricular sources, background information on how the vote for women came about, and a selection of discussion points to consider with pupils.

Log in to your school's GLP account to access this and many other free teaching resources. If your school isn't one of the thousands of schools in England already registered for the GLP and benefiting from the funding for CPD,* curriculum guidance and resources available, simply register your school today for free! But don’t delay − GLP-funded courses must be booked by 29 March 2018 and attended by 1 June 2018.
