Aims of the course:

Get RRSA off to a flying start. This course is an introduction to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and UNICEF UK's Rights Respecting Schools Award

Encourages the exploration of one’s own values and their wider social relevance Knowledge of people and citizenship Ability to challenge own and others’ perspectives and stereotypes Considering respect in relation to global knowledge

Embedding global learning in your teaching:

Teachers will be provided with strategies to involve and inform all members of their school community about becoming a rights-respecting school and taking a whole-school approach to global learning. They will understand how to work towards the Recognition of Commitment stage.
