Aims of the course:

? Encourage the exploration of one’s own values and their wider social relevance ? To develop knowledge and understanding of a rights-based approach to global learning ? To provide strategies for teachers to stimulate critical thinking about rights-based issues in a local and global context

Expected outcomes of the course:

? Knowledge of inequality ? Ability to challenge own and other’s perspectives and stereotypes ? Consider diversity, fairness, empathy, tolerance and respect and social justice in relation to local and global knowledge

Embedding global learning in your teaching:

Teachers will have explored 101 activities that they can use within their school to motivate and inspire colleagues to develop a rights-based approach to their teaching across the curriculum including the local and global dimension.
