- To explore The Awra Amba Experience, Dinnertime 360 and Secrets of the Opera and discuss how to deliver global learning lessons using Lyfta's platform. - To review lesson plans, activities, classroom discussions and assessments in the education packs. - To look at the media folders and discuss different content creation lessons to cement learning. - Participants will all be added to a Google group, so they can share ideas / lesson plans with each other. - Participants will have access to a library of short videos where Katri Merilained presents over 20 lesson possibilities using Lyfta's platform, on themes such as: sustainable development, democracy, gender equality, resilience, entrepreneurship and growth, globalisation, multiculturalism, discrimination and many others. Homework (optional): Teachers will be asked to customise a global learning lesson plan for their own class and share with colleagues and Lytfa's education team (in the Google Group) for feedback.
Participants will be empowered to use the interactive learning resources, comprehensive teacher packs and media libraries to deliver numerous lessons to Key Stage 2 and 3 pupils. Teachers will be shown how to customise their own lesson plans quickly, by mixing and matching activities and exercises from a variety of Lyfta's suggested lessons.
The course will give teachers the tools to allow their pupils to freely explore different cultures in engaging interactive worlds, and to get pupils thinking about, understanding and discussing ideas on global citizenship.

Serdar Ferit is a film-maker and digital storyteller with over 10 years teaching experience in England. He has worked in over 20 countries, across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Europe, and specialises in creating explorable, interactive documentaries and VR films. Katri Meriläinen is a teacher and an education expert, with a keen interest in Finland’s revolutionary new curriculum. She has worked as a teacher and teacher educator in Finland and Eritrea, designed various educational materials, and specialises in ICT in education. Katri led a team of teachers when designing the comprehensive teacher guide for The Awra Amba Experience.
Lyfta's experiences come packaged with a series of lesson plans, teacher guides and rich media libraries (including video clips, photos and infographics) which students can use for content creation. All participants will get a free one-year subscription to the interactive learning resources, lesson plans and media libraries for their school.
