Aims of the course:

This course will focus specifically on identifying the opportunities for delivering aspects of the maths curriculum via global learning. This will involve a thematic approach involving Mantle of the Expert.

Expected outcomes of the course:

A strong focus on teaching strategies and high quality resources to result in positive learning outcomes. Examples of planning will be given to highlight the learning opportunities and pedagogy involved in global learning related to maths.

Embedding global learning in your teaching:

This course will enable teachers to identify, plan and facilitate the learning opportunities in delivering aspects of the National Curriculum for Mathematics via global learning.

Trainer details:

The course will be jointly delivered by Victoria Eyres, Maths Leader, and Adam Cornes, Deputy Headteacher. They have both worked collaboratively to develop a thematic approach based upon Mantle of the Expert to identify strong opportunities to deliver the Maths curriculum via this pedagogical approach.
