Aims of the course:

To explore theory and practice of global learning as a cluster of schools

Expected outcomes of the course:

Teachers will have greater awareness of pedagogy associated with global learning and critical thinking, and have a range of practical classroom activities to use to support the pedagogy. They will have reflected on their practice with others in the cluster, and improved activities as a result.

Embedding global learning in your teaching:

As a result of this course teachers will increase their knowledge of global learning theory; have tested activities in the classroom; have better understanding of what works with children.

KS2 and KS3

Curriculum subjects explored in this course:

English, Science, Geography, RS / RE, Citizenship, PSHE, Drama

Content focus:

Curriculum development; Teaching and learning; Development of whole school ethos; Pupil behaviour and values; This course can be tailored to the content focus the school specifies

Other information:

Participants will be supported to work in a cluster on areas of global learning identified as priorities by the schools. Each school will also receive Tide~ resources to support the face to face activities.
