Global Learning Programme

Free resource to support Send My Friend to School’s ‘Make Schools Safe’ campaign

The theme of Send My Friend to School’s Spring 2018 campaign is ‘Make Schools Safe’. This free resource for the Global Learning Programme (GLP) helps pupils explore the issues surrounding safety in schools – both in the UK and in four other countries.

Containing activities targeted at Key Stages 2 and 3 (and above), this resource will investigate how schools across the globe address the impacts of natural disasters, wars, conflicts, and bullying and discrimination.

You can access this free resource by logging in to your GLP account. If your school isn't one of the thousands of schools in England already registered for the GLP and benefiting from the curriculum guidance and resources available, simply register your school today!

Registration is free and takes just a few minutes.

If you’re not sure if the GLP, or global learning, is relevant to you and your school’s needs and priorities, please take a look at some of the examples of how global learning can bring tremendous value to teaching across the curriculum.

Additional resources and teaching ideas

The GLP can support teachers in addressing a variety of topics – such as education – and provides background reading and curriculum support for a wide range of subjects.

The Global Dimension website also offers a wide range of GLP-approved resources to support teaching around these issues.
